Precipitation at 84pct of annaul average

Ammon News - Rainfall brought by a 2-day wet depression raised precipitation levels to 84.6 percent of Jordan's long-term annual average of 8.1 billion cubic meters, according to official figures.

A total of 2.086 million cubic meters (mcm) were channeled into the Kingdom's dams, raising their storage to 116mcm, or 40.5 percent of their total capacity of 280.759mcm, said the Ministry of Water.

The highest downpour of 17.4 millimeters (mm) was recorded in Umm Qais during the past 24 hours, which is 72.2 of the annual average.
