Ammon News - Due to the ongoing strike of cleaning workers, garbage cans and garbage bags were overflowing on the streets of Paris.
Miniature dumpsters have formed in some areas of the city, as seen in a video taken on Thursday.
More than 3,700 tonnes of debris, as assessed by the city hall, have reportedly piled up on the streets. According to reports, 30% of the city’s garbage collectors have been on strike since Tuesday.
The strike by social workers coincided with nationwide protests in France against the latest pension reform.
Protests erupted across the country in response to the government’s proposal to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.
