Ammon News - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources kept the wholesale price of liquefied petroleum gas sold to the industrial sector during March unchanged similar to last February, at JD722.74 per tonne.
In a statement on Sunday, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply will bear the difference in petroleum gas cost due to the one-off price hike in March, aimed to alleviating burden of production costs ravaging the local industry.
This decision was taken despite the increase in global prices of liquefied petroleum gas, which was reflected locally, amounting to JD844.69 per tonne, according to Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee, the statement said.
