Ammon News - His Royal Highness Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II on Saturday attended the closing ceremony of the Jordan esports playoffs championship, held over three days with the participation of more than 250 players.
Held by Zain Esports and the Jordan Esports Committee, the championship is aimed at forming a national esports team to represent the Kingdom in international competitions, according to a royal court statement.
Prince Hashem presented awards to the winners at the ceremony, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Omar bin Feisal, chairman of the Jordan Esports Committee.
The national team, made up of the winners, will represent Jordan this year at the 15th World Esports Championships Finals in Romania, and the 19th Asian Games in China.
Their Royal Highnesses Princesses Aisha bint Feisal and Sara bint Feisal, Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Minister Ahmad Hanandeh, Youth Minister Mohammad Salameh Al Nabulsi, and Zain Jordan CEO Fahad Al Jasem attended the closing ceremony.
