Ammon News - On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine, Chargé D’Affaires Stefanie Altman-Winans welcomed Ukrainian Ambassador to Jordan Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, to a ceremony to light up the U.S. Embassy in Amman in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

The United States affirmed that it will stand by the Ukrainian people as they bravely defend their freedom and democracy, no matter what it takes.

The Russian-Ukrainian war entered its second year on Friday, as the war began on February 24, 2022.
