90k corona deaths in world within 27 days: WHO

Ammon News - The World Health Organizaion (WHO) reported 10.5 million new cases and nearly 90,000 deaths from January 9 to February 5, a decrease of 89% and 8%, respectively.
In its weekly report on the latest epidemiological developments related to the Corona virus (Covid 19), the WHO said in a statement Wednesday, as of February 5, the cumulative number reported since the beginning of the pandemic has reached about 754 million confirmed cases, and more than 6.8 million deaths worldwide.
At the regional level, the number of newly reported cases decreased for a period of 28 days or remained stable in all six WHO regions, and the number of newly reported deaths within 28 days increased in three regions, namely, the Eastern Mediterranean region, by 45%, and the African region, by 21%, and the Americas region by 14%, while deaths decreased or remained stable in three regions, namely the Southeast Asian region, the European region, and the Western Pacific.
