Ammon News - The Ministry of Culture reveled the profits of the “Jerash Festival” last year, which amounted to about JD75,000, according to the financial director of the festival.

The financial director of the Jerash Festival said during a meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee to discuss the ministry's budget Sunday, that the festival received support worth 900,000 dinars last year.

The figures surprised the deputies at the Parliamentary Finance Committee session, while the head of the committee, Nimr Al-Sulaihat, said, "This must turn into an anti-corruption!"

For her part, Minister of Culture Haifaa Najjar responded to the deputies' disapproval that the festival is not for profit.
