Ammon News - Political analyst Yoni Ben Menachem said that US President Joe Biden's administration is concerned about tensions between Jordan and Israel, in light of the recent Israel's new far-right police minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Ben Menachem added, in an article on the Hebrew "News1" website and translated by Ammon, that the US administration is sending high-level representatives to Israel to delve deeper into the policy of the Netanyahu government in light of its fears of the repercussions of its relations with Jordan and the Palestinian Authority. This is ahead of the visit of the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, to Washington next month, and his meeting with President Biden.

He pointed out that US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will arrive in Israel, after a few days, to meet with officials in the occupation, including Netanyahu.

Ben Menachem says that the Jordanians are certain that Ben Gvir is working, with Netanyahu's support, to change the status quo, which prompted the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send harsh messages to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the occupation stating that Netanyahu is misguided about his intentions and that he is acting in a sophisticated way to change the status quo.

He pointed out that at the beginning of the week, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke by phone with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and heard from him serious concerns regarding the policy of the new Netanyahu government regarding Jerusalem, the current situation, and the intentions of far-right police minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

He noted that the Jordanian street was in an uproar after Ben-Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, as the retired Jordanian general, Muhammad Badarin, stated, "Israeli experts know that a well-trained Jordanian infantry force can penetrate deep into Israel within hours."
