Ammon News - French new car registrations were flat in December, down just 0.1 percent over December 2021, while the market lost 7.8 percent for the year.

There were 158,027 sales in December, according to industry group PFA, and 1,529,035 for the year.

Headwinds in 2022 were parts shortages, notably semiconductors; economic fallout from inflation and the effects of the war in Ukraine; and toward the end of the year logistic issues at Stellantis because of a shortage of truck drivers. Sales were 31 percent below pre-pandemic 2019.
