Jordan works minister, USAID officials meet on school projects

Ammon News - Minister of Public Works, Housing and Transport Maher Abu Alsamen, Thursday held talks with USAID officials in Amman on studies and designs for new school projects funded by the USAID.

Abu Alsaman praised USAID's support for Jordan's infrastructure projects in various sectors and said he is keen to strengthen future cooperation.

The meeting discussed issues related to implementing USAID-funded projects and finding solutions and ways. It highlighted the completed projects and emphasised the need to increase cooperation on future projects.

They discussed issues related to USAID's support for education, including the project to strengthen school administration and planning (ESMP) and the inclusive school programme (ISP), through which 30 schools would be established, and the school education environment transformation programme (STP).

For their part, USAID representatives expressed their appreciation for the "great" role the Ministry of Public Works plays.
