JPACO reviews key agricultural projects, efforts in 2022

Ammon News - Board of Directors of the Amman-based Jordanian- Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company (JPACO) on Saturday reviewed its key achievements and projects implemented during 2022.

The board also examined the company's performance and its goals and discussed its action plan for 2023, as well as its key future projects, according to a JAPCO statement.

This review came at a meeting chaired by JPACO Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mohammad Hiyari, in the presence of Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Hneifat and his Palestinian counterpart , Riyad Attari.

Speaking at the meeting, JPACO General Manager, Aladdin Abu Khair, said the company worked to open new international markets in "record" time, concluded export contracts with a number of European countries, and contracted with a number of local farmers to export more than 2,000 tonnes of vegetables.

Abu Khair also said the company took part in a number of international and regional exhibitions, to positively engage with the major participating companies and define mechanisms to ink a number of export contracts for 2023.

Noting the company's future goal to access new markets in Asia, America and Europe, he noted its plan aims to export dates and olive oil, while increasing number of contracts with farmers, which would lead to ensuring a "regular, competitive and distinguished" exporting product.

The company officially inaugurated its activities during the second half of 2022, while its actual operations began in Palestine last August.
