Ammon News - Senate President, Faisal Fayez, called on orchestrating pan-Arab media vision to defend the nation's causes and confront attempts aimed to destabilize its security and stability.

Fayez made the remarks at a meeting on Sunday with 30 journalists from 11 Arab countries, participating in a training conference entitled: "Role of Media in Promoting Dialogue," which is held by Al-Hayat Center for Civil Society Development " RASED," in cooperation with the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) in Lisbon.

Fayez also highlighted media's "remarkable" role and influence in society, calling on its various organizations and social platforms to promote cultural dialogue to enhance commonalities and counter incitement, violence, extremism and racism.

Noting media's task to promote positive societal values, he called on the press to play its professional and objective role, and work to promote freedom, social justice, and pluralism.

In addition, he noted the need to launch Arab media centers to steer public opinion, to shun social platforms with inappropriate content.
