Ammon News - The General Industrial Production Quantities index edged up by 3.53 percent in the first ten months of 2022, totaling 92.87 points against 89.70 points in the same period of 2021.
The growth was mainly attributed to a 2.96 percent increase in quantities of transformative industries, in addition to a 7.03 percent in extractive industries and a 7.42 percent in electricity production, according to the Department of Statistics' (DoS) monthly report issued Wednesday.
On a monthly level, the index increased by 5.08 percent to 92.96 points during October 2022, compared to 88.46 points recorded in the same months of 2021, the figures showed.
The main contributors to the monthly rise were transformative industries with 5.26 percent, extractive industries with 2.40 percent, and electricity with 6.30 percent.
