Ammon News - Jordanian expatriates' remittances in the first ten months of 2022 stood at some $2.829 billion, a 0.6 per cent increase compared with the same period of 2021, the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) said on Tuesday.
CBJ figures for October alone showed that remittances amounted to $290.4 million, a 2.8 increase compared with the same month of 2021.
expatriates' remittances are one of the pillars feeding the Foreign Exchange Reserves, which reached $16 billion at the end of October, and its coverage rate for imports is high, amounting to 8.3 months.
