Ammon News - The Industrial Producers' Prices Index picked up by 15.70 percent in the first ten months of 2022, amounting to 142.06 points against 122.78 in the corresponding period of 2021.
A report issued Tuesday by the Department of Statistics (DoS) indicated that the rise was primarily driven by a 15.93 percent increase in the prices of transformative industries and 33.92 percent in extractive industries, while electricity prices dipped by 7.52 percent.
The report showed a 10.69 percent increase in the index during October 2022, reaching 141.59 points against 127.91 points in the same month of 2021.
The main contributors to the monthly rise were transformative industries with 8.60 percent and extractive industries with 53.73 percent. However, electricity prices went down by 7.86 percent.
