Ammon News - The world Bank revealed its preliminary approval of the Jordanian government's request to restructure the " Project to Strengthen Reform Management ", which was launched in 2019 to coordinate and follow up on a reform matrix that the government announced its commitment to at the London Initiative Conference of the same year.
The Steering Committee of the Advance Universal Health Coverage Multi-Donor Trust Fund (Advance UHC MDTF) has agreed to restructure the $6.5 million project, as the government aims to extend the project to match the updated reform matrix timeline, according to a bank document.
The bank indicated that the government asked to add $9.3 millions to the project, including $1.5 million for the partnership projects between the public and private sectors, and $2 million to support public procurement reforms.
The world Bank has agreed to finance the $6.5 million project in September 2019, within the Advance UHC MDTF which is supported by the governments of the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway and Canada).
The World Bank's payments to finance the project amounted to $3.35 million out of $6.5 million, with a financing rate of 51.6%.
