JVA Secretary-General Manar Mahaneh and USAID Acting Mission Director Margaret Spears signed the project agreement. The project aims to reduce water loss, improve water resource efficiency, and upgrade the infrastructure of the water network. The King Abdullah Canal loses approximately 25,4 percent of its water due to leaks, illegal use, and evaporation. The project's ultimate goal is to provide 3.3 million cubic meters of water per year for drinking and irrigation, as well as to repair distribution lines and irrigation networks.
