Ammon News - A preliminary investigation conducted by Egyptian authorities and relayed to the Jordanian embassy in Cairo found no criminal suspicions in the death of a Jordanian actor in Egypt, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Tuesday.

47-year-old Ashraf Telfah was found in critical condition in his Cairo apartment before being taken to a nearby hospital, where he died two days later.

The hospital report cited a cerebral hemorrhage, pulmonary edema, impaired consciousness, and poor circulation as the causes of death, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sinan Majali said.

While reviewing footage from closed-circuit cameras placed around the apartment, Egyptian authorities reported to the Jordanian embassy that they found no evidence that anyone had broken into the building, according to the foreign ministry official.
