Ammon News - For many years, Jordan has been providing high quality medical education through its reputable medical services. This year, Jordan is going a step further by joining forces with leading American Medical institutions as to establish and maintain a Jordanian institution utilizing American-style learning experiences.

Jordan Hospital, a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, announces that the city of Amman will be opening its first top-notch Medical University under the name of Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences – Excellence in the Study of Medicine and Dentistry, providing education for medical students as well as support and resources to health care workers.

Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences will be envisioned as an institution dedicated to providing the highest quality of medical education to students from Jordan and neighboring countries. As the University would be modeled on those used in the U.S. Medical schools, including George Washington University, with curricular additions tailored to the medical education and health care needs of Jordan.

The formal academic partnership agreement with the U.S. Medical schools will provide academic support services, as a part of long-term oversight program, to assure maintenance of the highest quality of medical education according to U.S. standards. In addition to advising, counseling, and oversight necessary for the development and establishment of Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences and to begin its educational mission.
