Ammon News - The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman held a celebration on Thursday 27th of October 2022, on the occasion of the Czech National Day. During the ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel Amman, the Czech Ambassador, H.E Mr. Josef Koutsky, delivered a speech in which he stressed the depth of the historical relations between Jordan and Czech Republic and the aspiration to strengthen them in the future, in several areas of cooperation that unites the two countries. The ceremony were attended by H.E Mr. Mohammad Al Nabulsi , Minister of Youth and a large number of officials, diplomats, military personnel, and journalists, in addition to a number of embassy friends from many fields.
To commemorate the 58th Anniversary of the Czech-Jordan diplomatic relations, H.E Mr. Koutsky highlighted the presidency of the Czech Republic of the European Council priorities, and the most important programs and development projects providing humanitarian assistance such as of the Czech humanitarian medical program “MEDEVAC” which is running in Jordan since 2014, and AID IN PLACE program, which helps overcome the Syrian Refugees challenges in Jordan, in addition to the recent projects carried out such as opening of Syrian Refugees Affairs Training Center inside Syrian Refugees Affairs Directorate (SRAD), in order to build its security capabilities in providing security for citizens and residents on the territory of the Kingdom, beside the Military Women's Training Center in the Ghabawi area in Zarqa Governorate, which was established in cooperation between the JAF and the NATO, with the lead of special two main donor countries, the Czech Republic and Norway, for their generous support and deep believes, and high confidence in Jordanian Military Women efficiency and effectiveness in their roles.
And with cooperation with the Ministry of Health the Czech government provided renovated medical clinic at the King Hussein Bridge crossing, Al-Jisr (the Bridge) Medical Clinic, along with establishing the COVID-19 monitoring Center at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, to work on coordinating and reporting on Regarding border crossings.
H.E Mr. Koutsky pointed the ability to enhance relations and cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the economic and trade domains, highlighting the importance of organizing more economic forums and exchanging mutual visits at various levels, including participation in SONEX/JIMEX, SOFEX, MEFED and international conferences held in Jordan.
