Jordan ranks 16th on Gallup’s Global Law and Order Index

Ammon News - Jordan ranked 16th out of 121 countries in Gallup's 2022 Global Law and Order Index, which tracks countries' progress toward the United Nations' goal of peaceful, secure societies.

On the index, the Kingdom received a high score of 89 percent and was third among Arab countries, trailing only Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

Moreover, Jordan came 10th globally and 4th among Arab countries on the "Countries/Areas Where People Feel Safest Walking Alone" sub-index with a 87 percent score.

The report's methodology was based on four main questions about how much people trust local security services, how safe they feel walking alone at night, and whether their property or money had been stolen and they themselves had been assaulted or mugged in the twelve months preceding the report.
