Ammon News - Minister of Social Development, Ayman Mufleh, on Thursday discussed with the Tunisian Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Zahi, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the social work fields.
The two sides stressed the importance of exchanging joint "successful" expertise in the field of productivity promotion, poverty reduction, and cash aid programmes, according to a ministry statement.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 77th session of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs (CAMSA), chaired by Jordan, the statement noted.
The Tunisian minister was briefed on Jordan's experience related to National Aid Fund (NAF), in addition to the two countries' expertise in launching social work as a profession.
During the meeting, Zahi highlighted Tunisia's experience in partnership with the civil and voluntary sector, online linkage mechanisms and regulations to regulate their work.
Referring to voluntary work, he highlighted Tunisia's expertise in the field of automating procedures and establishing social protection platforms.
Mufleh and Zahi stressed the need to exchange expertise in the field social protection policies, sustainability mechanisms in joint social cooperation, and content of the protocol signed between the two ministries in 2015.
