Ammon News - The industrial sector took the lion's share with 57.8 percent of the overall foreign investments flowing into the Kingdom, benefiting from the Investment Law during the first nine months of 2022.
According to a statement issued Wednesday by the Jordan Chamber of Industry, industrial investment totaled JD380 million with 183 projects, thus affirming the sector's ability to draw in foreign and local investments.
The industrial sector contributed to the national economy by providing 10,000 direct job opportunities, the statement added. It noted that the sector was also the top driver for gross domestic product growth during 2022's first half, contributing to about a third of the national economy's growth.
