Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said Tuesday it is following up on reactions to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries Plus (OPEC+) decision to cut production.
"This is a technical issue related to oil market stability and its requirements, regulating supply and demand and protecting the interests of both producers and consumers, that should be approached on technical basis within its economic context, away from political bickering that does not serve common goals and interests", the ministry's official spokesman Sinan Majali said in a statement.
Majali stressed the need to address the matter through "direct and balanced" dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the United States in a spirit of partnership, and in a manner that reflects the importance of the partnership in efforts to promote security and stability in the region and beyond and Saudi Arabia’s central role in this respect as well as the key role of the United States.
He also reiterated Jordan's support of all Saudi moves to protect its security, stability and interests.
