Ammon News - A man accidentally stumbled upon a large quantity of cocaine, valued at nearly £90m, while on a picnic on the beach in West Wales, on Saturday.

The man was surfing on a beach near the town of Aberystwyth when he stumbled upon a series of dozens of black bags tied to two sacks, which had been washed ashore.

Each bag contained about a kilogram of pure cocaine, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail".

"I was on an early morning walking trip when I saw something on the beach. I was curious and went to it and knew what it was almost immediately," said the man, who preferred not to be identified.

He added that a woman called the police, who came about half an hour later, and "they cut a bag that looked like pure cocaine. They pulled all the bags from the beach and took them."

According to the latest assessment from the National Crime Agency, the daily cocaine trade in the UK is estimated to be worth more than £25.7 million.
