Ammon News - Within an official ceremony and on the sidelines of the 41st General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization "ICAO", an event was held to receive a wooden art sculpture representing the Treasury in the city of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, which will be displayed permanently at the organization's headquarters in Montreal. The "193 countries" are keen to display symbols and artifacts that express their history and civilizations in the international organization, and from this came the desire to set a model for the distinctive Jordanian symbol (Petra) in this important international edifice.
This is a fine artwork that was done by one of the former civil aviation employees, "Adnan Al-Daqour".

Captain Haitham Misto, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, handed over the masterpiece, presented by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the International Civil Aviation Organization, in the presence of ICAO Council President Salvatore Chiquitano and Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar and in the presence of His Excellency the Jordanian Ambassador to Canada Majed Qatarneh and a number of Their Excellencies and Heads of Delegations.
It is worth mentioning that this masterpiece was carved from wood, painted in the color of Petra pink with high accuracy. It took nearly two years to work on it. It weighs 350 kilograms, is 200 cm high, 130 cm long, and 50 cm wide. It consists of 72 pieces. It forms a miniature model of the safe with a geometric scale of 25: 1
