Ammon News -
Arlington, VA – On September 20, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency announced grant funding to NITAJ for Commercial Investments LLC, for a feasibility study to advance the development of Jordan’s first mobile health services network. USTDA's assistance will enable NITAJ to deploy a fleet of mobile dialysis and mobile clinic vehicles for homebound and underserved patients in three of the country’s most heavily populated governorates.

“USTDA embraces this opportunity to partner with NITAJ to help increase access to high-quality healthcare for thousands of people in Jordan each year,” said Enoh T. Ebong, USTDA’s Director. “U.S. companies are at the forefront of healthcare sector innovation. USTDA is committed to working in emerging economies around the world to deploy these technologies to improve peoples’ lives and advance our partners’ ambitious economic development goals.”

NITAJ currently provides in-home healthcare services to patients through its online scheduling platform, WeCare, which connects

the company’s healthcare professionals and other healthcare professionals with patients in Jordan. USTDA’s feasibility study will facilitate NITAJ’s entry into mobile healthcare services by providing detailed technical and financial analyses including legal and regulatory assessments, a market analysis, and an assessment of medical service delivery operations to determine demand for medical services across its target area. The study will also include a vehicle engineering study and provide NITAJ with an associated financing and implementation plan for the project.

“NITAJ believes in serving humanity, so we are passionate about serving the Jordanian community with the latest technology and best healthcare services,” said Alaa Hussein, co-founder and CEO of NITAJ.
NITAJ co-founder and Vice President, Mohammed Ali Qaryouti, added: “This is a unique project. We want to support Jordan's economy and develop the healthcare sector in a way that has never been done before. NITAJ wants to deliver the best healthcare for thousands of Jordanian people and bring them comfort. We also want to create jobs for high-caliber healthcare providers, change the delivery of healthcare in Jordan, and have a positive impact. Our partnership with USTDA will help make this happen.”

“USTDA’s grant award to NITAJ exemplifies how the United States works with partners in Jordan on a diverse range of shared interests, including healthcare infrastructure,” said U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Henry T. Wooster. “The United States and Jordan share a longstanding partnership, and it is encouraging to see it continue to grow, in this case with innovative U.S. solutions that can expand access to medical services in Jordan.”

This project supports the Biden-Harris Administration’s priority of health and health security under the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment.
