Woman advisor to Sheikh of Al-Azhar for first time in history of Egypt

Ammon News - Dr. Nahla Al-Saeedi has been authorized by Sheikh of Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb to assume the responsibilities of the Center for the Development of Education for International and Foreign Students as well as those of the Sheikh of Al-advisor Azhar's for expatriate matters.

This decision is the first of its kind in the history of Al-Azhar, with a woman assuming a leadership position as an advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar.

As an advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Nahla Al-Saidi described her appointment as a duty, and honor all at once: "A mandate to carry a very heavy trust, and an honor for this huge trust from the Grand Imam, and this trust is always cherished."

She continued by saying that she has been working on the expatriate file since 2015 and that she also served as the director of the Office for the Development of Education for International and Foreign Students.

This center got off to a great start thanks to the Grand Imam, and the system has been fully and thoroughly developed in terms of its physical facilities, academic programs, and staff members.
