Minister of Energy heralds huge projects in gold and silica

Ammon News - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, in a meeting with the Vice President of the Engineers union, Fawzi Massad, and a member of the union Council, the head of the Mining, Geological and Petroleum Engineering Division, Eng. Louay Al-Ramahi, and the accompanying delegation, Al-Kharabsheh revealed the existence of huge investment exploration projects in phosphate, gold, silica sand and basalt materials in different regions in Jordan, he added that these various projects will contribute to creating employment opportunities for engineers in various fields.

He affirmed the ministry's readiness to cooperate fully with the union of Engineers and to benefit from the engineering competencies that the union possesses, and to cooperate with the Engineers union in order to increase the number of trainees at the ministry’s headquarters and its affiliated companies, pointing out that the Arab Mining Company, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and local and Arab companies, is establishing a huge training center with highly qualified laboratories to help engineers gain valuable experience.

From his side, the deputy captain of the Engineers union, Fawzi Massaad, confirmed that the union will prepare a comprehensive study on partnership with the Ministry of Energy to invest in the proposed projects, which contributes to allowing engineers to find employment opportunities, especially in the field of mining. He also pointed out that the union, through the Center for Engineering Studies and Research, will prepare an economic study and a plan for the development of Jordanian raw materials using its various expertise, noting that engaging in the projects proposed by the ministry is in the national interest and the union's interest in diversifying its investments.

A member of the union Council and head of the Mining and Mining Engineering Division, Eng. Louay Al-Ramahi, drew attention to the need for the ministry to cooperate in the field of training engineers in projects specialized in mining and qualifying them to enter the labor market, in addition to the ministry’s participation in the various activities held by the division. through the union.

Al-Ramahi called for the necessity of the presence of mining engineers in various projects, as they are specialists in their field, which contributes to the quality of work and raising its efficiency.

The two sides discussed the issue of involving the Syndicate of Engineers and the Mining and Mining Engineering Division in the Partnership Committee with the Mining Private Sector in the Ministry, and other relevant specialized committees, in addition to increasing the number of engineers on the training program signed with the Ministry, where a subsequent meeting will be held to agree on these matters.
