Ammon News - The first flight from Ramon airport carrying dozens of passengers living in the Palestinian Authority (PA) departed Monday for Larnaca in Cyprus. Arkia Airlines operated the flight.
Contrary to what was initially believed, Turkey is not currently a destination for flights from Ramon Airport. In the future, however, there may be direct flights for PA residents to Turkey, Dubai, and possibly to Sharm el-Sheikh in the Sinai Peninsula, israelnationalnews reported.
Amir Assi, a specialist in business development in the Arab sector, initiated the project. He said, "This is a pilot project. About 40 residents of Judea and Samaria from the Palestinian cities of Bethlehem and Hebron will participate. At this stage, only 40 vacationers will participate."
