Ammon News - The General Industrial Production Quantities index picked up by 4.32 percent in the first six months of 2022, reaching 92.16 points against 88.34 in the same period of 2021.
The Department of Statistics said Sunday in its monthly report that the increase was driven by a rise in the production quantities index of transformative industries by 3.55 percent, extractive industries by 9.10 percent, and electricity by 9.82 percent.
On a monthly level, the report showed that the index inched up by 0.79 percent in June 2022, amounting to 94.22 points compared to 93.47 recorded in the same month of last year.
