Sudan reports first monkeypox infection

Ammon News - Sudan’s Health Ministry, Sunday evening, reported its first confirmed case of the monkeypox virus, which has recently been designated as a global emergency.

The Ministry said in a statement that the infection was detected in a 16-year-old student, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).

The global monkeypox outbreak has been declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization (WHO).
