Award-winning Jordanian film explores strained sisterhood

Ammon News - Jordanian film "Daughters of Abd al-Rahman," which delves into a strained relationship between four sisters was screened for two days at Taj Cinemas as part of the Amman International Film Festival.

The film tells the tale of four conflicting sisters who must put aside their differences and band together to solve the mystery surrounding their father's disappearance. Daughters of Abd al-Rahman, directed and written by Zaid Abu Hamdan and produced and starring Saba Mubarak, won the Audience Award following its world premiere at the Cairo International Film Festival in November 2021.

The dark comedy, which was primarily shot in an eastern Amman neighborhood, stars Saba Mubarak, Farah Bsaiso, Hanan Hillo, Yasmina el-Abd, Khalid Tariffi and Waleed Jizawi.
