Ammon News - Jordanian Ambassador to Egypt Amjad Adaileh on Monday opened the 1st International Exhibition for Jordanian Universities in the capital Cairo, which aims to attract Egyptian students to pursue higher education in Jordan.
The Oval Office Group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo, and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), is organizing the two-day event, which drew a large crowd on the first day. The attendees got a close-up look at flyers and other marketing materials promoting educational travel to Jordan.
During the opening ceremony, Adaileh stated that the exhibition is an opportunity to learn more about Jordan's higher education and new majors introduced to meet labor market demands. He stated that the event reflects strong Jordanian-Egyptian ties, particularly in the cultural and educational fields.
According to Khaled Kelani, the JTB's representative in Egypt, the Board has been working for years to promote Jordan's educational tourism and just recently established an educational tourism unit.
He noted that there are approximately 38,000 international students in the kingdom and that the JTB had signed an agreement with the Higher Education Ministry and a number of public and private entities to achieve its local and international objectives.
