Travel traffic at Aqaba port up by 150% in 6 months-Stakeholder

Ammon News - The number of passengers traveling en route Aqaba port saw a "record" increase during the first half 2022 by 150%, compared to the same period last year.

Secretary-General of the Jordan Navigation Syndicate (JNS) Mohammad Dalabeeh, said the passenger number during the January-June period 2022 reached 1,12,777, compared to 45k last year, as reported by Petra.

Dalabeeh said the growing passenger rate is due to resumption of travel activity after the Arab Bridge Maritime Company (ABMC) resumed passenger transport operations last year, after Covid-19 restrictions were eased.
