Ammon News - The Muslim World League (MWL) on Sunday welcomed the outcomes of the Jeddah Security and Development Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia and saw the participation of the GCC countries, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and the U.S.
The MWL General Secretary, Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Issa, commended the outcomes of the summit, which focused on partnering in promoting peace and prosperity in the region and all necessary measures in order to preserve the region's security and stability, and jointly address the challenges it faces, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Issa valued the firm and principled commitment of GCC countries, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq's leaders to the Palestinian cause, and the summit’s affirmation of the need to reach a just, comprehensive and lasting peace on the basis of the two-state solution and the need to stop all unilateral measures that undermine the solution and respect the historical status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites.
