Ammon News - The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, in collaboration with the Dutch Center for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), on Thursday launched an online platform designated for marketing activities and exporting Jordanian agriculture products.
During the launching ceremony, Minister Khaled Hneifat said Jordan's exports dramatically decreased in the last ten years due to border closures, noting that the ministry is on the look for new markets to boost agricultural exports.
The minister predicted that the new website would tap into new promising markets and help study relevant data, products, and production seasons in various countries, in addition to focusing production on high-yield crops in Jordan.
The platform is "efficient and effective" in serving the agriculture sector, allowing it to compete in global markets to benefit farmers and exporters, he indicated.
