Ammon News - The First Irbid Awqaf Directorate said Tuesday it has prepared 170 summer centers for memorization of the Holy Quran in the Directorate's various mosques under the title "Al-Aqsa is a Hashemite custodianship and an eternal right."

Head of the directorate, Omar Hammouri, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the supervisory committee on those centers was keen to select experts and competent personnel in teaching from holders of Sharia certificates, management, and courses in recitation and intonation.

He added that the aim of these summer centers is to teach recitation, memorization and understanding of the Holy Quran, the holy hadith, the Prophet’s biography, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and stories of prophets, and the consolidation of Islamic values, manners, morals, and national culture, in addition to extracurricular activities.

Hammouri urged male and female students to register in these centers in the nearest mosque designated for them within their areas of residence, which will start teaching in July 16th until August end, pointing out that 80 centers have been allocated for males and 90 centers for females.
