The Jordan Economic Forum on Saturday urged that the Kingdom's exports benefit from trade agreements signed with North American countries to boost their presence in the Mexican market.
In a panel discussion with Mexican ambassador Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez, forum members stressed the need to diversify the base of exchanged commodities between the two countries with a focus on specific goods, especially potash and phosphate.
They stressed the importance of intensifying meetings between the private sector in the two countries and holding exhibitions and forums through coordination with the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The forum said in a statement that its members stressed the need to focus on attracting tourists from Mexico through Jordanian tourism offices as well as opening an airline route between the two countries to boost the sector.
The Mexican envoy called for stronger trade and investment relations with Jordan, which would reflect on their common interests, noting that Jordan is a stable country and a gateway to various regional markets.
