NCFA head, Mexican envoy talk exchanging family protection expertise

Ammon News - Secretary-General of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA), Mohammad Miqdadi, briefed Mexican Ambassador to Jordan, Roberto Hernandez, on the council's tasks, especially in relation to family protection and related legislation in force.

According to a NCFA statement on Sunday, Hernandez and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the council’s work mechanism and its goals aimed to contributing to setting family- related policies, strategies and development plans, following up on their implementation, and improving family life quality.

Miqdadi highlighted NCFA's efforts in strengthening family role aimed to meet their members' needs and ensure their security, in addition to their protection, stability, and cohesion.

He referred to the NCFA's support for community institutions' efforts on family affairs in the public and private sectors to achieve joint coordination and integration.

In addition, Miqdadi highlighted a number of NCFA's projects in the field of family protection, which is implemented in partnership with National Family Protection Team against Violence.

In this regard, he referred to the key National Framework for Family Protection document, which regulates tasks and defines roles and responsibilities of the concerned authorities, in addition to reviewing the NCFA's current response programs to curb domestic violence.

He also explained the NCFA's action mechanism in outlining regulations and instructions for Juvenile Law, its efforts on Child Rights Law draft that was recently approved by the government, as well as TV interconnection project in Jordan's courts to protect children.

For his part, the Mexican envoy valued the NCFA's experience in family care in various fields, and presented some mechanisms and models on Mexican family protection

The diplomat also stressed the importance of joint cooperation and expertise exchange on various family issues, particularly in the field of combating domestic violence.
