JFDA Director General Nizar Mhaidat has ordered the formation of an inspection and control cell along with a special operations room to regulate and directly monitor field inspections and provide the necessary support, according to a statement. He asked inspectors to take firm action and carry out stringent controls, not tolerate violations and to ensure the flow of safe food and protect public health. The cell's formation, he dded, is part of the JFDA's regular supervision and control efforts to track violations across the country and address public complaints.
