Ammon News - The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) and Foodstuff Traders Association (FTA) are scheduled to host, next Monday, an Egyptian trade mission that includes 43 commercial and industrial companies, specialized in foodstuff, printing and packaging industries.
According to a joint ACC-FTA statement on Saturday, bilateral meetings will be held bringing together Jordanian and Egyptian importers, traders and exporters, as well as business owners from Palestine, Syria and Iraq, who were invited to take part in the discussions.
ACC Chairman, Khalil Haj Tawfiq, said the Egyptian delegation's visit is the outcome of joint ACC-FTA cooperation and coordination with the Egyptian Food Export Council (FEC), stressing that the Kingdom will be a center for meetings that will take place during the coming period.
Haj Tawfiq, who also heads FTA, called on Jordanian and Arab traders, importers and exporters residing in the Kingdom, to attend the talks scheduled to start next Monday in the capital, Amman, referring to other meetings set to be held later for various commercial and service sectors.
In addition, he expressed his hope that these meetings will contribute to increasing the volume of inter-Arab trade exchange, building partnerships, exchanging expertise, enhancing mutual investment to achieve economic integration, and investing potentials to achieve Arab food security, especially amid the current circumstances as the world is witnessing "remarkable" challenges in this sector.
The next stage, he noted, will witness a new push in the form of the Jordanian-Egyptian economic and trade relationship aimed to strengthen joint cooperation, expand investments and address any obstacles facing traders, importers and exporters from the two countries.
