Yarmouk University, DAAD talk academic cooperation

Ammon News - Yarmouk University (YU) President, Dr. Islam Massad, and Director of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Regional Office Amman, Benjamin Schmaling, on Wednesday discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields of scientific exchange at the student-faculty level.

Massad expressed the university's keenness to strengthen scientific, academic and cultural cooperation relations with various educational institutions, Massad said.

This drive would contribute to exchanging expertise and providing degree seekers with the necessary skills and a high degree of scientific excellence, to play an important role in building and developing Jordan's national institutions, Massad pointed out in a YU statement.

The university, he said, has started implementing textbook plans aimed to contribute to arming students with the necessary skills to raise their competitiveness in the local and regional labor market.

In this regard, he said a package of foreign languages ??courses will be taught at the university's Language Center, including German.

Schmaling, for his part, lauded YU's "distinguished" level, adding that the university is a DAAD important partner in various cooperation fields.

DAAD is ready to provide support to the university aimed to contribute to supporting its current development and modernization process, he noted.
