Ammon News -

Passenger traffic through Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) dropped 11 percent in April from the month of March, but grew by 232 percent, compared to the same month of 2021, according to figures released by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission.

The drop in April was due to the holy month of Ramadan, when passenger traffic usually declines, the commission said.

The number of arrivals and departures was at 505,000 in April, compared to 561,00 in March, while only 152,000 passengers were recorded in the same month last year, it said.
