Ammon News - The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) announced its plans to launch three programs to support various economic projects, using e-applications.
According to a JEDCO statement on Wednesday, applications will be received round the year for the first time in new programs to support establishment of startups and emerging projects, especially for young people countrywide, in line with each region's "comparative advantage".
JEDCO will also launch a program to support marketing capabilities of Jordanian companies' products in various industrial, craft, agricultural and service sectors for a 1-year period, the statement added.
This drive aims to provide technical and financial support to 20 projects with "promising" marketing and export opportunities to keep pace with international marketing skills and enhance competitiveness of the national product locally and internationally, in a manner that maintains the enterprises' sustainability, the statement noted.
In this regard, JD500, 00 were allocated under a government funding for the purposes of paying the shipping costs for various Jordanian industrial and agricultural exports to international markets, JEDCO said.
This assistance will cover half of the the exporter's shipping bill, especially to non-traditional markets, to preserve opportunities and shares of Jordanian exports in various global markets, the statement pointed out.
