Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is still hearing evidence on the proceedings related to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) expansion project, ACC President Abed Shakhanbeh said on Friday.
The commission has already heard the testimony of several JPRC board members, in line with an ongoing investigation, Shakhanbeh added.
Last month, the Cabinet decided to form a committee, chaired by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Khalid Irani, to examine the JPRC’s selection of a strategic partner for its fourth expansion project.
The Cabinet also requested that JPRC management suspend all expansion procedures until the committee completes its work and submits its recommendations.
