Ammon News - Only $189 million of Jordan’s $2.28 billion response plan to the Syrian crisis (Jordan Response Plan "JRP") was made available by the international community in 2022, according to Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation's figures.
With only 30.6 per cent of the plan’s total amount financed, the deficit now stands at $1.687 billion, or 69.4 per cent of the total needed, a breakdown of last year’s figures reveals.
The amount secured was used to support refugees ($62.4 million), host communities ($39 million), and infrastructure and institutional capacity-building ($86.3 million). While a new item, response to the Covid-19 pandemic, received a $1.2 million.
