Ammon News - Jordanian Expatriate Businessmen and Women Association (Tawasul) has recently succeeded in attracting an Indian investment in the tourism sector, announced its Chairman, Fadi Majali.

According to a Tawasul statement on Sunday, Majali said attracting foreign investments, facilitating their flow into Jordan and their operations top priorities of the association’s work, in implementation of the Royal directives to lure in more foreign investments to create job opportunities and stimulate economic growth.

The Indian investor, Anil Chandirani, said Satguru Travel & Tourism Co., whose registration was finally completed in Jordan, had started its operations in 1989, and was established in Kigali (East Africa) and is present in more than 68 countries across the world, with sales exceeding $1.2 billion and employs 3,284 workers, the statement noted.

Jordan was chosen due to its attractive investment priviliges, Chandirani noted, adding that Jordan's tourism sector is "promising" and enjoys a competitive advantage, in addition to the distinguished Jordanian youth competencies in this sector.

The company's activities in Jordan will focus on promoting the tourism environment, given its "exceptional features" by organizing distinguished tourism programs, which contribute to attracting more tourists to Jordan, according to Chandirani.

For her part, the company's representative in Amman, Rawan Nubani, said its registration process was "smooth and fast," which gained investors' satisfaction, which would stimulate attracting more foreign investments to Jordan.
