A delegation of the World Bank (WB) executive managers visited the National Aid Fund (NAF) on Tuesday to look firsthand at social protection programs and vehicles for supporting low-income families during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Headed by Executive Director Merza Hasan, the delegation also visited the fund's branch in Jerash to check on procedures in place to provide financial support to eligible groups and individuals.

NAF Acting Director-General Barq Damour said the visit signals WB's trust in the fund which, he said, is well respected among regional and international bodies mandated to fight poverty.
