Luxurious new plane cabins boast 'floating beds' and private suites for passengers

Ammon News - A new plane cabin has been designed and it boasts some seriously luxurious private suites for passengers with heaps of leg room, 'floating furniture' and plenty more perks.

A new plane seat has been designed and it could be a strong contender for our top picks of the world's most luxurious First Class cabins.

That's because the new 'Elevate' design comes with some enviable features for passengers, and we're not just talking heaps of extra leg room (although there is plenty of that too).

Each seat has its own dividers so essentially it's like you're getting your own private suite. Inside, as you'll find a spacious seat with plenty of leg room - and there's plenty of storage space so there's no need to cram your belongings into a seat pocket.

Meanwhile thanks to some nifty seat attachments, passengers can transform their seat into a 'floating bed' should they require a proper kip before arriving at their destination.

There's also a standalone table where your food can be served - and no need to awkwardly wait for it to be taken away so you can use a a fold out tray table, as it sits in the corner so when you're done eating, you can stretch out again.

The mini suite comes with 'floating' furniture on the walls, a large TV on the wall and a spacious window if you do want to do some daydreaming.

Design company Teague and aerospace firm NORDAM are behind the new cabins, which unsurprisingly are aimed at first class and business class travel.

The project is very much still in its concept and design phases, and it's set to be showcased at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2022 in Hamburg later this year.

For those of us who won't be flying first class any time soon, the good news is that there are plenty of easy tricks and hacks to make a journey in economy that little bit more comfortable.

For example, getting your packing essentials right can make a huge difference before you've even left for the airport, while for long-haul take note of some useful jet lag tips so that you can make the most of your holiday without needing to take heaps of naps.

Oh, and it's always worth asking for some in-flight extras to make your journey that little bit easier - such as a spare pillow or even First Class perks - without needing to fork out cash.

Travelling with kids? Cabin crew members have shared their top tips for flying with children from ways to stop their ears from hurting, to keeping them entertained and even some pre-flight prep you can do to avoid possible tantrums.
